The Facilities

The Center for Jewish Life will be an extensive campus with an array of spaces and amenities.

The sanctuary will be a beautiful, modern space for services, life-cycle events, performances, and lectures. Its design will be enhanced with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. The sanctuary will flow into a two-story space that can be set up in multiple possible configurations for large and small events.

Dedicated classrooms incorporating cutting-edge technology and a variety of meeting spaces will enable The Center to offer excellent educational opportunities for everyone, from the pre-schoolers in our Early Childhood Center to retirees attending CAJE’s Melton School.

The modern athletic facilities will serve every age group with a lap pool, gymnasium, soccer field, and fitness center. This will be a powerful draw to the surrounding community and will enable our children to participate in leagues and travel teams.

Education

Because The Center takes the mandate to teach our children seriously, the Early Childhood Center (ECC), K-5, and renowned Tikvah Center for Autism (collectively, the Gordon School) will be at its heart.

Founded in 1985, the Gordon School has been a draw for children from throughout Miami-Dade, providing a rigorous yet nurturing education. To continue to be an academic anchor for Brickell, Central Miami, and the greater Miami area, the Gordon School will fuse the fundamentals of Jewish education with a 21st century curriculum, skills, and facilities.

Additional space to accommodate multiple classes per grade, digital learning tools, specialty classrooms, and expanded athletic facilities will ensure that all of our children blossom and receive an unparalleled education. We also will have the facilities for our children to continue to their religious education after their b’nai mitzvah, through additional scholarship and volunteerism.

Ultimately the Gordon School will be expanded to include of a top-notch middle school and high school.
